Mark Heaps

Mark Heaps is the Director of Development for Duarte Inc (www.duarte.com), a world class communication agency specialized in presentation design for well over two decades. There he started as a graphic designer and photographer while also supporting the growth of his peers and clients alike. Snapping his first picture at age four, and following many years passionately learning from the styles of the skateboarding, music, and graffiti communities; he turned to design as a teenager to balance his love of art and communication in visual media. Mark has formerly held senior positions with Apple, Google, Maxim-IC, and was a Senior Instructor and curriculum developer for Brooks College. He also runs the ATX Photography & Video studio in Austin, Texas used by local agencies, commercial clients, and enthusiasts alike.

Through the use of Adobe products for twenty years, Mark has helped author many pieces for books, magazines, websites, learning-documents, university papers, and more. An Adobe Certified Expert and Community Professional, Mark passionately focuses on learning and sharing great techniques with inspiring creations. Mark’s work has been used by Fortune 500 companies around the globe in a variety of languages. Nokia, Alcatel-Lucent, Apple, Google, HP, Coca-Cola are to name but a few.

Mark has recently spoken at SXSW, TPPA’s Photogenesis, Photoshop World, Precision Camera Expo, Adobe MAX, and has hosted Adobe’s ASK A PRO webinar event. His talks vary from specific production techniques, to communication techniques and creative workforce management. He has also been featured on Behance, Adobe’s digital magazine INSPIRE, and Photoshop Usermagazine.

He currently lives in Austin, Texas with his wife, two kids, two dogs, and a pantry full of ketchup.
